The Pico laser delivers pulses of energy to safely and effectively remove unwanted tattoos. The ink that makes up the tattoo is progressively shattered into smaller particles with each treatment. Surrounding tissue remains unaffected by the laser energy. Treatments are spaced 8 weeks apart. Depending on multiple factors – age of tattoo, location, color, and size of tattoo, you will require 4-10 treatments.
The procedure feels like a snapping hot rubber band on the treated area. Topical numbing, cold blowing air and/ or laughing gas (available as an additional charge) can be used to reduce discomfort during procedure.
Tattoo will need to be kept well moisturized for the first 5-7 days and covered with a non-adhesive bandage. You are likely to have blisters in the immediate days after treatment. Keep the tattoo covered, moist, and do not prematurely pop a blister. Area will be irritated by the healing process, similar to when the original tattoo was completed.
Cost: Starts at $200 per treatment (size dependent)
