Rebecca Young

Rebecca Young, co-owner of Blue Mussel Aesthetics moved to Southeast Alaska in 1996 to pursue a career in flight nursing. In 2001 she attended the University of Anchorage Alaska and obtained her Masters Degree in Nursing, specializing in Family Practice. Rebecca has over 20 years of critical care experience and currently works as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Juneau. In 2012 she expanded her talents and expertise into Aesthetic Medicine.
Lynn Hirschi
MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Lynn Hirschi moved to Juneau, Alaska in 2007 looking for adventure. She graduated from the College of Southern Idaho as a Certified Medical Assistant in 1994 and has over 20 years experience in the health care industry. She also works at a busy Family Practice Clinic. She is certified in laser therapy, has a passion for aesthetics, and is and expert in medical grade skin care.
Kathy Kartchner
APRN, FNP-C
Kathy Kartchner, APRN, FNP-C, guest aesthetic provider at Blue Mussel Aesthetics, earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing and Advanced Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of Arizona in 1998. After relocating to Juneau in 2001 to work as a flight nurse, Kathy built a career rooted in compassionate care and clinical excellence.
With more than 30 years of healthcare experience, Kathy helped establish Blue Mussel Aesthetics as Juneau’s first medical spa dedicated exclusively to aesthetic medicine. While the practice is now under new ownership, Kathy continues to make curated guest appearances, bringing her signature blend of artistry and expertise to patients who know and appreciate her attention to detail.
Katie Keller
RN, BSN
Katie Keller graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Westminster College in 2014. After exploring 5 vibrant states, she is thrilled to plant roots in Juneau. From the high-stakes rhythm of ER and ICU nursing to a pivotal wellness awakening in 2020, her path has been one of profound transformation. In 2024, she lost 100 pounds, unlocking not just a healthier body, but a richer empathy for the real struggles and triumphs of personal change. At Blue Mussel Aesthetics, she treats every client uniquely by listening thoroughly and crafting customized treatment plans that deliver results. When Katie’s not treating clients, you’ll find her chasing adventures on Juneau’s trails or cherishing “mom moments” at home.

Tiona Conger
PRACTICE MANAGER
Tiona met and married her husband in Alaska, now they raise their lovely daughter Carina in Juneau. They are adventuresome outdoorsmen who enjoy skiing, hunting, fishing, and traveling. She grew up in a musical family, with both parents being opera singers in Russia. She had her first acting job at the Theater of Opera and Ballet at age 6. Her musical household and exposure to many cultures growing up gave her a deep appreciation for art and beauty, making her a great fit in medical aesthetics. Tiona holds a Linguistics degree, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Alaska Southeast. She oversees the financial and executive aspects at Blue Mussel Aesthetics.
